Anchor offers support for PostgreSQL on all of our shared website hosting and dedicated servers running Linux.
Database interfaces
Access to your PostgreSQL database is most commonly via a web interface (using PhpPgAdmin) or the command line through SSH.
Direct remote access to Postgres databases are provided via an SSH tunnel.
Detailed documentation is provided to help you make connections to your PostgreSQL database from commonly used programming languages.
Backups
Backups of all databases are made on a daily basis automatically. If more frequent backups are required these can easily be configured to copy the data into your hosting account via a PostgreSQL database dump called from a cron job.

Application update policy & process
Anchor continuously monitors and applies updates to all vendor supported applications deployed on Anchor infrastructure to maintain stability and security.
We do not apply major updates to any application which can affect the stability of live/deployed client services.
